My sister-in-law, Berkeley photographer Shoey Sindel, is my partner-in-crime over at MyMothersJewelryBox.com. She’s also an inspiration for anyone who has ever considered a task too big or too overwhelming to even think about.
She’s been training for months, and now is on a 545-mile bike ride to end AIDS. Can you imagine? She’s riding nearly 100 miles a day, and sleeping in a tent at night. Just the thought of it makes me hurt all over!
Why did she leave her comfy bed, adorable hubby and two teenage boys to put herself through this agony? To raise $5000 for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. And she almost, almost there too. But she could use a few more helpers. If you have any room at all in your budget or your heart to help her reach her lofty goal, here’s the page where you can donate.
Go Shoey!
