I have mentioned before that for months now, I’ve been listening to audiobooks from Audible on my iPod Shuffle . The more I listen, the more delighted I have become with being able to “consume” books while driving and exercising or walking. Okay … small confession: I actually drive a lot more than I ever walk or exercise. But when I do exercise, like the one-hour power walk I took on Sunday, I am very proud of myself!
So, getting back to the audiobook idea, one day last week, the lightning bolt struck, and I decided to add a selection of Audible’s children’s and young adult books to the Surfnetkids.com site.
Audiobooks for kids and families are great for car rides, terrific to listen to together, or just as nice to listen to by one’s self. You can download the Audible book immediately, burn it to a CD, listen to it on your computer, or transfer it to an iPod.
So, without further ado, click here for Surfnetkids selection of Children’s and Young Adult Audiobooks .

Hi –
I am working with BBC Audiobooks America to launch an Audiobook Club. Im in the process of trying to find some like-minded bloggers to help them get the word out.
I am attaching their press release for you to look over, but essentially it is an online book club open to anyone that will culminate in an online discussion to take place at the end of the month via their Facebook Group page. The first audiobook selection is Jaws by Peter Benchley just in time for some summer reading.
Their group page is located here: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=79812459707
Do you think this might be some fodder on your blog? Id really appreciate any boost you might be able to give! Thanks so much for your consideration!
