I have been bombarded with questions about the new Surfnetkids Google Subscribed Links program, so I thought I would answer a few of the most common questions for everyone at once.
1) Is it free?
Yes, it is free. There is no cost to join the program and it is not associated with the Surfnetkids Premium Printables Club membership.
2) Do I have to download a toolbar?
No, there is nothing to download.
3) Can I use Google like I usually do?
Yes, simply use Google as you always do. Except you will need a free Google account, and you will need to be logged into your Google account when doing the searches in order to see the special Surfnetkids links.
4) How do I get a free Google account?
Sign up for Surfnetkids Google Subscribed Links at http://www.surfnetkids.com/subscribedlinks.htm and Google will walk you through the process of getting a new account.
5) When will the Surfnetkids Links appear?
Currently, the Surfnetkids Links will appear on about 2400 search terms that relate to our archive of topics. If we get good feedback, we will work on adding additional search terms.
6) What sample search terms can I try to see the Surfnetkids Subscribed Links, once I have signed up?
Go to any Google page (or Google Toolbar or Google Browser Search) and try “George Washington”, or “Precalculus”, or “Homework Help”. You don’t need the quotes.
